One time while camping at the Watchtower, my wife and I woke before sunrise and were astounded at how bright Venus was in the eastern sky. We knew what it was of course, but you'd be surprised by how many people jump to conclusions, or simply aren't aware of basic astronomy. Education and awareness are the key to filtering out known objects and getting much better sightings, and there are a lot of those!
